More Arrests Expected From Operation Pandemic In Washington County, Virginia
Washington County Virginia District Attorney General Josh Cumbow says there are plans for a second round of arrests as part of Operation Pandemic. On Tuesday, Sheriff Blake Andis announced his department arrested 37 individuals on mostly methamphetamine charges that focused mostly on drug dealers in the region. The arrests come after a total of more than 90 indictments by a Washington County Grand Jury. Operation Pandemic is a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional drug operation stretching from Washington County into other parts of southwest Virginia, along with arrests from Sullivan County and neighboring North Carolina. The U.S. Marshall’s office assisted in Tuesday’s arrests. Cumbow says more arrests could come later this summer.
