Two Month Old Infant Found Unresponsive…Dies In Route To Greeneville Hospital

The Greeneville Police Department is reporting this hour a two month old child found unresponsive on a Greeneville street this morning died on the way to the hospital. Greeneville Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 700 block of North Main Street in the city to a report of an unresponsive two month old child. The infant was transported to the hospital and was pronouced dead on arrival. The circumstances surrounding the child’s death is now under investigation by the Greeneville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. An autopsy on the child is being performed at the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center at ETSU.
