Governor Lee Announces All Long Term Care Residents And Staff Must Be Tested
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is announcing all nursing home residents and staff must be tested for COVID-19 by June 30. Lee says nearly 40 percent of all COVID-19 related deaths in Tennessee are comprised of residents in long term care facilities. Each nursing home must complete an intent to test survey provided by the Virginia Department of Health before June 1. Failure to comply will be considered a serious deficiency, and penalties could include license revocation, license suspension, and civil monetary penalties.
