Drug Conspiracy Ring Broken Up At Sullivan County Jail
A conspiracy to supply the drugs methamphetamine, marijuana and other narcotics to inmates in the Sullivan County Jail is broken up by a joint investigation. 13 individuals, including five inmates were arrested. A corrections officer received an anonymous tip that led investigators at the detention center to confiscate more than 36 grams of Methamphetamine, just over three grams of pot and numerous other narcotics from inmate Charles Edward Johnson. 8 other individuals, from outside the facility, some who are family members of the inmates, assisted in smuggling the contraband into the jail facility. Arrested along with Johnson are inmates Joseph Michael Sayers, Jackson Stevens Mabe, and Jeremy James White, along with the other eight, were each charged with criminal conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal facility along with numerous other charges.
