Northeast Tennessee Pharmacist Pleads Guilty Of Drug Conspiracy
A northeast Tennessee Pharmacist, who worked in a southwest Virginia Pharmacy pleads guilty to federal drug charges involving his girlfriend and five dogs connected to her vet clinic. 34 year old Ryan Lowry Patrick, of Gray was filling multiple prescriptions at a Saltville, Virginia Rite Aid in the names of at least five different dogs that belonged to Patrick and his girlfriend who operated the vet clinic in Bluff City. The prescriptions were written by a veterinarian who worked at the clinic. Patrick will be sentenced in August and faces up to four years in prison and or a fine of up to 250 thousand dollars for one count of obtaining drugs by fraud and one count of using an illegal registration number to acquire controlled substances.
