Small Northeast Tennessee City Ranked Safest Place To Live In Volunteer State
For the second year in a row, a small northeast Tennessee city is ranked the safest locality in the Volunteer State. With a population of just over six thousand six hundred residents, the City of Church Hill beat out Coopertown, Tennessee as the safest place to live in the state, according to data released from a home security website. The report looked at violent crime and property crime rates from 2016-2017. Church Hill had crime rates lower than both Tennessee and the rest of the U.S. Neighboring Mount Carmel dropped in the rankings from fifth to sixteenth according to the report.
