Barter To Receive National Endowment For The Arts Grant

The Barter Foundation for the State Theatre of Virginia in Abingdon is receiving ten thousand dollars from the National Endownment for the Arts. The funds, will go to the Barter Theatre for its efforts in the Art Works and Musical Theatre and is part of just over one million dollars in grants recently announced by the Endowment for the Arts. The Barter was the only locality in Southwest Virginia to receive funds from the grant that totaled more than 84 million dollars for over eleven hundred new awards to organizations in all 50 states.
