Dickenson County, Virginia Records First Confirmed Case Of COVID-19
Health Department officials in Dickenson County Virginia are reporting the first case of COVID-19 in that county , leaving only two other counties without a confirmed case of the disease in the Commonwealth. A resident of Dickenson County tested positive for COVID-19 chalking up the county’s first case. In fact, two other regional counties, Bath and Bland are now the only two counties in Virginia that have not reported a confirmed case of COVID-19. The Cumberland Plateau Health District includes Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell and Tazewell Counties Prior to Tuesday’s update the health district had reported 36 cases eighteen in Buchanan, eight in Russell and Nine in Tazewell as well as two hospitalizations in Russell County.
