Bristol, Virginia man to be sentenced on federal child porn charges in September

A Bristol, Virginia man pleaded guilty in US District Court in Abingdon to multiple child sex charges.

Prosecutors said Jonathan Neal Sexton exchanged indecent photos and videos with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl on a social media app over a four-month period this year.

Sexton, 33, was actually sharing data with an undercover FBI agent posing as the teen and was later charged with distributing and possessing child pornography. He is scheduled to be sentenced in September and faces up to 15 years in prison.
