Three months have passed since the first case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia and Ballad Health Officials say we are still in the first wave of the pandemic and continue to urge caution. Ballad Health CEO Alan Levine says while the region and the rest of the country continue to move forward with reopening efforts the COVID-19 pandemic is not over. Levine went on to say in a press release the plans for reopening our communities and economies were developed with input from top health experts and scientists, and they rely on people still wearing masks and continuing physical distancing , and choosing to disregard these steps puts everyone at risk.
