NEW: FBI determines noose-like rope in Wallace’s work bay at Talladega was a garage door rope
NASCAR was informed by the FBI Tuesday afternoon that Cup driver Bubba Wallace was not the target of racial intimidation at Talladega Superspeedway after a noose-type rope was found in the black driver’s garage bay on Sunday.
The statement said the item examined was determined to be a pull rope used to close a garage door at the complex in Alabama that had been used since last fall.
