NEW: Bonnaroo festival in 2020 a casualty of COVID pandemic

Organizers of the annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee announced Thursday they are canceling the 2020 edition with plans to return in 2021.

A statement from the group said those who have already purchased tickets or weekend passes can roll those over for use in 2021 or can receive a refund.

Bonnaroo this year will instead be a digital experience with a weekend of historic performance planned online for September.
