Bristol’s Blackbird Bakery closing for quarantine following worker’s COVID diagnosis
An eatery based in downtown Bristol, Virginia has decided to close its doors for an extended period after a worker there tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
An official with Blackbird Bakery on Piedmont Avenue said the worker received notification of the infection on Friday and informed management. The official noted that the public is likely not at risk and the employee had come into contact with seven other workers.
Blackbird will now be closed for a 14-day period and has contacted city and state health officials for further guidance.
