2020 Appy League, MiLB season canceled
Baseball will not be played in Northeast TN and Southwest VA this summer.
The 2020 Minor League Baseball season has officially been canceled, and comes after officials with Major League Baseball informed MiLB that it would not provide its affiliated teams with players for the 2020 season.

The cancellation further puts the future of the Appalachian League in limbo, following talks earlier this year of potential elimination of 42 minor league teams as part of a new MLB proposal which included most of the teams housed in the Appalachian League.
