ASD Partners With Specialty Foods Distributor To Feed Those In Need

More than 108 thousand pounds of nutritional produce is headed to Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia as Appalachian Sustainable Development partners with a distributor of fresh and specialty foods to feed those in need. ASD and Paragon Foods, which was awarded a contract for the USDA’s Farmers Feeding Families Food Box program. Every two weeks in July, ASD’s Appalachian Harvest Food Hub trucks will travel to Pennsylvania to pick up and deliver a full tractor trailer load which Paragon will donate to feed hungry families in the region.
