GCSO launches investigation after finding deceased individual in a wrecked vehicle early Monday

An investigation is underway in Greene County after police discovered a deceased individual in a vehicle early Monday morning.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, they were dispatched just before 4 a.m to a wrecked vehicle down an embankment on Freedom Road. Police discovered one occupant dead in the car after arriving on scene.

The scene was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division and no further information was released.
