Johnson City Police Remind Citizens Personal Fireworks Prohibited In City Limits

You may have already seen and heard fireworks prior to the 4th of July, some coming from counties throughout the region that allow personal fireworks, but others being launched illegally within city limits in most localities. Across the country, amateur fireworks, including sparklers, cause millions of dollars in damages and result in many injuries. And because of those facts, the Johnson City Police Department will have additional patrols out this fourth of July looking for fireworks violations. The department is urging citizens to abide by the fireworks ordinance inside city limits of Johnson City.
