BTPD: Investigation underway after finding body of pedestrian hit by train early Monday morning
Police in Bristol, TN are investigating after they say a pedestrian was hit by a train early Monday morning.
A press release says Sullivan County Dispatch received a call around 3:15 a.m. of a pedestrian that had reportedly been struck by a train in the area of Weaver Pike and Vance Tank Road. Bristol Police say they located the body of the pedestrian about 200 yards south of Weaver Pike. Norfolk Southern Railroad Police responded to the scene.
The identity of the individual is not being released at this time.
