Third Judicial District courts to require mask wearing until August 1st
A mask mandate is taking effect today in all courts within the Third Judicial District.
A memo says courts in the counties of Hancock, Hawkins, Hamblen, and Greene will require anyone entering court to wear a mask following an uptick of COVID-19 cases in the specified areas. Exceptions to the rule include witnesses giving testimony, attorneys addressing the court, and clerks who are appropriately social distancing.
This mandate is in effect until August 1st.
