Dairy group, agriculture leaders team up to provide free milk to Washington County and Johnson City residents
The Washington County Agriculture Partnership and the University of Tennessee Extension are teaming with a non-profit group of dairy farmers to provide free milk to deserving families during the virus pandemic.
Gallons of milk will be made available to families in a contactless setting on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the former Earth Fare location at 1735 West State of Franklin Road in Johnson City.
Families can stay in their vehicles and use a drive-thru system where volunteers assisting The Dairy Alliance and Borden Dairy Company will place the product in the trunk to promote distancing.
