UPDATE: Trump rescinds college rule for fall classes for international students

President Donald Trump has rescinded a rule that would have required international students to transfer or leave the country if their university only allowed online classes this fall due to the pandemic.

The move came as legal proceedings were scheduled for Tuesday on an injunction filed against Trump’s move by Harvard University and MIT.

East Tennessee State University had issued a statement last week voicing support for their students from overseas who had voiced concern over the new immigration law.
