New Start To Kingsport Elementary School Day

Kingsport City Schools is announcing an adjustment has been made to the Elementary School Systems’ start time for this coming school year. School officials now say the start of this years school day is being moved 15 minutes later to allow for adequate time to conduct COVID-19 cleaning, administer temperature checks as well as bus cleaning between runs. Afternoon dismissal is also being altered with a three thirty dismissal time. That move will mean less wait time for students between the end of the instructional day and when buses arrive for student transportation home. Drop off times for students remains 730 AM each school day.
