Early voting for Tennnessee’s August primary starts today
Early voting for the August 3rd primary in TN gets underway today.
Several important seats are on the ballot, including the senate and first congressional district races. Early voting runs through August 1st, and for those who wish to vote absentee by mail due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline to request an absentee ballot is July 30th. Below are polling stations for each county in Northeast Tennessee:
Carter County– Carter County Election Commission Office located at 116 Holston Ave., Elizabethton. Polls open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until Noon.
Greene County– County Election Commission Office, 311 CCU Blvd., Suite # 1, in Greeneville. The office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 18, 2020, July 25, 2020, and August 1, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.
Hawkins County– Rogersville Courthouse 110 E. Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857 Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Church Hill Rescue Squad Building, 351 W. Main Boulevard Church Hill, TN 37642 Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Both Locations: Saturday, July 18, 2020 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 25, 2020 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 1, 2020 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Both Locations: Friday, July 31, 2020: Open until 8:00 p.m.
Johnson County– County Election Commission Office, 158 Election Avenue, Mountain City, TN. Office hours are Monday (8 a.m-6 p.m) Tuesday-Friday (8 a.m-5 p.m) and Saturday July 18, July 25, and August 1 (8 a.m-12 p.m.)
Sullivan County– Sullivan County Election Commission Office, 3258 Hwy. 126, Suite 103, Blountville, TN.

Washington County– Jonesborough Early Voting Site (Old Ace Hardware Building) Location: 220 N 2nd Ave, Jonesborough, TN 37659 Hours: MON, WED, & FRI 9 A.M. – 5 P.M. TUES & THURS 9 A.M. – 7 P.M. Sat. 9 a.m. – 12, NOON
