West Virginia Man Sentenced In Abingdon On Stolen Gun Charges

A convicted felon from West Virginia is sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Abingdon to three and a half years in federal prison for illegally possessing and later selling stolen firearms. 44 year old John Benjamin Webb admitted to breaking into the home of a neighbor and stealing two shotguns, two rifles, along with cash. Webb, then took the stolen guns to Wytheville where he sold them at a pawnshop. At the time Webb sold the firearms, he previously had been convicted of several felony offenses.
