DOL 7/23 Unemployment Claims report: 65,982 new claims filed in TN and VA last week
Nearly 66,000 new unemployment claims have been filed in TN and VA.
The latest numbers from the US Department of Labor reports Tennessee had 25,794 first time jobless claims for the week ending July 18th, 3,363 more than the week before according to numbers from the Tennessee Department of Labor.
Northeast TN had 1,630 new unemployment claims last week, and 13,473 continued claims. Last week, Virginia had 40,188 new unemployment claims, 7,896 more than the week before.
