Tazewell County, VA closing several buildings to the public to a COVID-19 case rise
A number of public buildings in Tazewell County, VA are closing to the public again due to a rise in COVID-19 cases within the county.
County Administrator Eric Young says the board of supervisors have decided to close the county administration office, the animal shelter, and building inspection office until further notice. Residents needing to specifically meet with county staff in person should call and make an appointment or call to see if their issue can be resolved over the phone. Building permit applications can be made online. Administrative staff is returning to working a split shift in hopes of preventing an outbreak among county employees.
