Holston Medical Group participating in worldwide COVID-19 vaccine study

Holston Medical Group is participating in a global study for a COVID-19 vaccine.

The controlled study will enroll around 30,000 adult participants, with half of participants receiving the study vaccine while the other half will receive a placebo. Participants will receive injections over their first two visits, and are asked to keep a diary of symptoms. Four follow-up visits are planned over a two year period to monitor the participant’s health.

The study is sponsored by Pfizer and Biontech.
