Grant To Help Fund Water And Sewer Improvements In Southwest Virginia

Three Southwest Virginia localities are receiving a portion of two and a half million dollars in Community Block Development Grants to support water and sewer system improvements to assist low to moderate income individuals and households. Wise County is receiving more than 880 thousand dollars for new public sewer service for 45 households, while Buchanan County will see more than 500 thousand dollars for a regional water line and Lee County will use nearly 350 thousand dollars for new public water service to 21 households, fifteen of which are low to moderate income families.
