Tri Cities Memorial Stair Climb Moves To BMS
The Tri Cities 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will be held this year at a different location giving climbers a unique opportunity to climb at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Last Great Colosseum. The sixth annual event gives climbers and anyone else a unique opportunity to climb at the speedway to show support, respect, and admiration for fallen heros from the 9/11 attack. The event is being held outdoors and social distancing will be in place. Andrew Catron is with the Tri Cities Memorial Stair Climb sayssince its inception in the Tri Cities, nearly 150 thousand dollars has been raised for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The event consists of individuals climbing 110 floors, the height of the World Trade Center. Each climber carries an ID tag of a fallen hero and then rings a bell to announce the name of their hero. This years stair climb will be held September 12 and registration is online until filled at events.firehero.org/tricities.
