Police, Fire crews on scene of structure fire on W. Market St. in Johnson City

Johnson City Police and fire officials are on scene of a reported structure fire of a business on West Market Street.

Officers say they were called to the 3600 block of West Market Street just after 2:30 this morning, and according to Washington County, TN dispatch, the place of business houses ammunition. Police are assisting the fire department with traffic control. Because of the circumstances surrounding the fire, traffic is expected to be detoured in that area, possibly into the morning commute. Traffic is currently being detoured onto McKinley Road and Claude Simmons Road. Traffic on Indian Ridge Road will not be allowed on W. Market Street.

Expect delays throughout the area for the next several hours.
