Washington County Virginia schools start totally online Aug. 24
“I am personally not comfortable entering my classroom with all the other teachers and students, even in the hybrid model.”
Washington County, Virginia teacher and parent David Carroll gave that comment while addressing school board members Thursday before the council voted to begin classes Aug. 24 and make the first six weeks of instruction totally online.
The board agreed to revisit the issue in four weeks to evaluate the progress of online learning as well as check community virus statistics to work toward the eventual return to the classroom.
