Hawkins County Automotive Parts Supplier To Layoff 86 Employees
86 employees with a Hawkins County automotive parts manufacturer are losing their jobs effective October 20. Cooper Standard located in Surgoinsville filed a WARN notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor And Workforce Development of its intentions to permanently layoff 86 employees. The Northeast Tennessee Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team has been notified as well to help coordinate services with the employer and affected employees. Cooper Standard produces coolant tubes, hose assemblies as well as fuel and brake lines at the Hawkins County site.
