Bristol Rhythm and Roots performer Unknown Hinson fired from Adult Swim’s “Squidbillies” after insensitive comments
A rockabilly musician who made an appearance at Bristol’s Rhythm and Roots Reunion in 2010 has lost endorsement deals and his full-time job as a voice actor on the Adult Swim animated series “Squidbillies” after derogatory remarks he made about the Black Lives Matter movement and about Dolly Parton.
Several media reports said Stuart Baker also known as Unknown Hinson fired off insults at Parton’s physical appearance on his social media page and accused her of self-racism.
Thousands online demanded Baker’s firing even after he posted an apology to Parton. He issued a statement after his dismissal stating he had lost his chance of being booked at a music venue ever again.
