Elizabethton man sentenced to 14 years on child porn charge
An Elizabethton man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for one count of distributing child pornography.
Anthony Moody, 27, was sentenced in US District Court in Greeneville on Aug. 14, following a previous guilty plea to the charge. A search warrant was executed last November at Moody’s home, where investigators found over 1,500 images of child porn on his phone and computer, many of which included sexual victimization images of toddlers and infants.
Moody also admitted to distributing and trading child pornography to hundreds of individuals over the last year, as well as downloading and viewing child pornography. Following his release from prison, he will be on supervised release for 20 years and will also be required to register as a sex offender.
