Sullivan Inmates Receive COVID-19 Testing
Sullivan County Jail inmates are now being tested for COVID-19 after some of the prisoners and jail personnel recently showed symptoms similar to those of the Coronavirus. The Sheriff’s Department working with the Sullivan County Regional Health Department are conducting the testing and to date, one employee has tested positive for the virus. Inmates that exhibit COVID-19 symptoms are being quarantined at the jail as a precaution. A news release on Monday also says any personnel at the jail who may have been exposed are isolating themselves at home.
