UPDATE: Body found in Beaver Creek identified as man missing since August 3

Bristol Tennessee police have released the identity of the person whose decomposed body was found in Beaver Creek last week.

Investigators said pathology workers at the Jenkins Forensics Center used medical records to determine the remains were that of Orville Brown who had been reported as a missing person earlier this month.

The case remains open as those medical experts continue to pinpoint a cause of death that Bristol police said could take several weeks.

Law enforcement officials said during the initial search for Brown that foul play was not suspected but there were some concerning issues surrounding his disappearance.
