Man Dies After Apparently Exiting Moving Vehicle In Johnson City

Johnson City Police are investigating what they say is a case of a man who appears to have voluntarily exited a moving vehicle leading to his death. The incident occurred on East Oakland Avenue and Ninth Street Thursday night. Johnson City Police tell us officers arrived on the scene and found the so far unidentified 34 year old male on the ground. Bystanders rendered aid to the man until emergency crews arrived. The man was transported by EMS to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are currently interviewing witnesses. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
