UPDATE: Chancellor says four Tennessee students facing discipline for violating COVID-based regulations
University of Tennessee Chancellor Donde Plowman followed-up on promises of discipline for breaking COVID-related regulations after noting the possible sanctions for four students caught over the weekend.
Plowman said in a statement that three students threatened the lives of fellow Volunteers by hosting parties off-campus with either no social distancing or masks being used while a fourth who was in self-isolation due to testing positive willingly went to a gathering.
The chancellor said the students will face suspension or potential greater penalties following a Code of Conduct hearing.
