KCS returning to in-person classes starting Monday Aug. 31 using full classes, hybrid plan
Kingsport City Schools are planning to return in-person classes starting Monday Aug. 31.
During last night’s board of education work session, Superintendent Dr. Jeff Moorhouse presented an update regarding the system’s return to the classroom. It includes a plan for PreK-5th grade students to return to face-to-face classes five days a week, while students in grade 6-12 will attend two days a week in person on a hybrid schedule separated by last name, with the other three days used for remote learning.
Students who chose the remote learning option will stay online. More information is available on the district’s website.
