Ninth District Health Centers Reap HHS Award Money

Seven community health centers in southwest Virginia are sharing a total of more than 430 thousand dollars in Quality Improvement Awards. According to the Department of Health and Human Services the money is awarded to health centers for high performance in health care as well as those who have made significant improvements from the previous year. Southwest Virginia’s Community Health Systems, Incorporated received more than 55 thousand dollars. The dollar amounts for the award money ranged from 40 thousand to 78 thousand dollars for each health center in southwest Virginia.
