UPDATE: Two dead in Bristol, Virginia following Peaceful Valley Drive shooting

The Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Abingdon man and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder after an early morning shooting.

Deputies arrived at Peaceful Valley Road in Abingdon Thursday morning around six and found an armed suspect, who complied with demands to drop his weapon. Deputies arrested 29-year-old Albert Lee Ricketson of Abingdon and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder along with use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Misty Dawn Bishop of Bristol Virginia and 24-year-old Trevor Alexander Sweat of Bristol Tennessee. Ricketson is being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon without bond.
