Federal Grant Funds To Help Ensure Resources Are There For Virginia Police Agencies
More than six million dollars in federal aid is headed to Virginia to help ensure police agencies have the needed resources to perform their duties and provide critical services to Virginian’s during the COVID-19 pandemic. The money comes from the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program. The grants will assist criminal justice entities in their ongoing mitigation and response to the pandemic. The awards make up 56 percent of the more than ten million dollars in grants awarded to the Commonwealth.
