Free lunch, breakfast for Russell County students upon return Sept. 8

When students return to Russell County Virginia Public Schools next week, students will get their meals free of charge.

The system has announced that all costs for breakfast and lunch will be covered and that also includes food items for students who will attend classes remotely via the internet.

Families can contact their local schools to gather more details on deliveries while students who will be physically in the classroom for the hybrid schedule will receive a day’s worth of food as they leave in the afternoon.

Fall semester classes in Russell County are scheduled to begin on Sept. 8.
