Mountain Empire Community College employee tests positive for COVID-19

Officials with Mountain Empire Community College say one of their employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Southwest Virginia college issued a statement of the positive case over the weekend, saying that individual is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.

The college also said that classes will continue as previously scheduled and no changes to campus access are currently in place because of the coronavirus case.
