TBI: Kingsport man charged with kidnapping and rape in alleged incident in West Tennessee

A Kingsport man is facing kidnapping and rape charges following an investigation by the TBI into an incident in West TN.

A statement from the state agency says they started investigating the incident last week which occurred at a home in Ridgely, TN, two hours outside of Memphis. Information from the case led to the arrest of Jordan Ballard, 26. He faces charges including especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape, and aggravated assault.

He was booked into the Lake County jail.
