ECS: System to stay on hybrid schedule through Sept. 18
Elizabethton City School students will stay on a hybrid schedule for at least the next two weeks.
The district announced on Facebook yesterday that the decision was made after reviewing information from surveys sent out to parents and staff. Officials say the system has the highest epi-curve rate in Northeast TN, and staying on a plan with reduced numbers of students inside schools will allow infection rates to decrease.

The continuance of the hybrid schedule runs through at least Sept. 18.
The latest coronavirus case within Elizabethton City Schools was a positive case at T.A Dugger Junior High, recorded on Aug 31.
