Unicoi County Schools planning for a return to face-to-face learning Sept. 14

Unicoi County Schools are set to return to in-person learning starting Sept. 14.

Director of Schools John English announced the update in a letter and video to families on Wednesday, stating families who wish to have their students return to face-to-face learning can do so. When classes resume in school buildings, the district will start operations in their “yellow” protocols, and will also begin with a mask requirement, but will allow for times that students can take masks off, like when they are outdoors or at lunch.
