Virginia ABC Stores Have Record Year…Despite COVID-19

There are few things the current COVID-19 pandemic haven’t had some effect on since the outbreak. But in a year underscored by uncertainty, Virginia’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority beat the odds and reported gross revenue of one point two billion dollars, that’s up 117 million dollars over last year. That billion dollars added up to ABC contributions of 545 point three million dollars that will help fund state programs and services. Retails sales grew 18 percent during fiscal year 2020.
