UPDATE: Police identify pedestrian killed by train Wednesday in Johnson City
Johnson City Police have identified the person killed by a train during an incident Wednesday night.
Officers say the victim was Linda Brandon, 48, of Johnson City, TN, who according to a Norfolk Southern spokesperson, was struck by their train around 9:30 p.m after trespassing onto tracks adjacent to McKinley Rd.
Officers do not suspect foul play, and the incident remains under investigation.

One person has died after being struck by a train Wednesday night in Johnson City.
A spokesperson with Norfolk Southern says an individual had trespassed onto tracks adjacent to McKinley Rd., where they were hit by the train around 9:30 p.m. The statement sent to us also said no injuries or damage occurred to any of the train’s crew or the train itself.
The incident remains under investigation.
