United Way of Bristol creates survey to better understand COVID-19 impact among regional families
The United Way of Bristol has created an online survey to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on families across the region.
As the pandemic started earlier this year, over 800,000 Tennessee households were just one emergency away from financial ruin, which is a 10-year high thanks to price increases of basic items and stagnant wages according to the state’s latest ALICE report. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed which represents households that are working but cannot afford basic necessities like housing, food, and child care because of low wages.
United Way of Bristol Executive Director Lisa Cofer encourages everyone in the community to complete the survey, which will help them to identify trends and needs in their service area. We have a link to the survey here, and it can be accessed through the end of September.
